A burglar alarm can have an influence on your home insurance premium. However in standard risk areas, security often makes little difference to the quote. If you are considering upgrading to an alarm to achieve lower premiums then check a few quotations first. In higher risk areas from burglary an alarm can make quite a difference.
Make sure your alarm is professionally fitted and has a maintenance contract. It should also be NACOSS approved.
